(K)NEED

A journal about neighbourhood bakeries, the people behind the bench and the culture of daily bread.

We started (K)NEED because bakeries are one of the last genuinely neighbourhood things — places that smell the same as they did fifty years ago, run by people who start work when the rest of the city is still asleep.

Every story we publish is editorial. We travel to bakeries, we spend time there, and we try to document what makes each one matter. It's not a directory, it's not a review site. It's a journal.
